Amazing, very well captured… 🙂
Wilhelmshaven is absolutly worth visiting… 🙂
Thank you, Drake for your kind comment and your faithful visits. Yes, Wilhelmshaven is really worth visiting. It’s a city that needs a second view, if you know what I mean. It’s not like Flensburg, Hamburg, Bremen …
Wilhelmshaven was destroyed in WWII and they made mistakes in rebuilding. The last years they worked hard to correct the mistakes.
But there are lots of places – also from the past – worth visiting. And there is the feeling from a city at the Sea 🙂
Have a creative time,
Ulli
Yes agree about Wilhelmshaven and the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park is absolutly an attractive area too – as I know so Wilhelmshaven is the only german deep-water port which has great influence in the area – the naval harbor too – unluckily the naval harbor was the cause of the strategic bombing in the war , wars always hits civilians hardest – the „JadeWeserPort Cup” connecting all kind of ships in october is fascinating too – and still some old architecture left.
Agree with you the later years rebuilding have been much more inspiring than the first attempts in the 1950s and early 1960s – now they have their heart (feeling) in the work… 🙂
I see you know the area, too 🙂
Yes, the Wadden Sea National Parc is very attractive. It’s right the Jade-Weser-Port is Germans only deep-water-port. But it’s not used as wanted. Hamburg and Bremerhaven still have the most shiploads. There are big discussions to deepen river Elbe. Would be a problem for Wilhelmshaven (WHV). But in WHV lacks the structure behind the Jade-Weser-Port …
Everything takes time in WHV 🙂
A very nice area is the Rüstringer Park with the old cemetery – https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehrenfriedhof_de_Wilhelmshaven –
See you in WHV 😉
Greetings,
Ulli
Agree about WHV, this ’not so fast mood‘ be both a charm and an obstacle – this ‚fight‘ between WHV and BHV isn’t the only one seen, it happens a lot of places.
Yeah it could be great fun, having a city cruise… 😀
I agree, the competition of cities isn’t a new fact, but I think it’s the wrong way to survive. Cities must work together. High costs and the demographical change need new solution.
City cruise 🙂
Good night,
Ulli
Agree… 🙂
Sleep well… 🙂
🙂
Really great photos 🙂 I love the hidden lights 🙂
Thank you for your kind words, Scifi. The bridge is a nice object for photographer day as well as night. I like the twilight hour and the night 🙂
Greetings,
Ulli

This bridge is soooooooooooooo amazing sight !!! Feels like I am in a different time, hudred years back 😀 Lovely lines Ulli 🙂 I will most definitely visit this bridge someday 🙂 Is Wilhemshaven the exact place where it is located ?
Thank you, Ady. I’m so glad about your enthusiasm. Yes, the bridge is really worth seeing. The bridge was build 1905 – 1907 and it’s a turn bridge. Yes, the bridge is located in Wilhelmshaven. It connects the south of the city with the beach across the inland port.

I’m back to admire you photos again. Amazing night light captures, the bridge looks so magnificent. Love the B&W version. Well done, Ulli! 🙂
Thank you so much, dear Amy. I’m glad you like the b/w version, so do I. I think, it takes the oppression of night and darkness.
Have a nice day.

Hi Ulli!! Gorgeous capture in black and white! Really mysteriously beautiful. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Hi GH, glad, you like the little series. It’s really a mysteriously place. What you can’t see on the pics – but I see, you feel it 😉 – is a lost location on one side of the bridge.
Greetings,
Ulli
🙂
