Libelle ♥♥♥ Dragonfly

Ich parkte mein Auto und stieg aus.
Knapp neben dem Reifen saß die Libelle – bildschön. Ich hatte sie nicht überfahren, dennoch glaubte ich, sie sei tot. Ich hob das farbenfrohe Tier auf, um es ins Grüne zu legen, als ich spürte, dass da noch Leben drin ist. Also suchte ich einen Platz in der Sonne …

I parked my car and got out.
Just next to the tire sat a dragonfly – so beautiful. I had not run over but it still seemed dead. I picked up that colourful insect to lay it into the green. And then I felt that there was still life in it. So I looked for a place in the sun …

Da hing sie nun, wie eine Hose am Bügel. Also nahm ich sie wieder auf, um einen besseren Platz zu finden. Und in der warmen Hand kam sie zu Kräften und erreichte offenbar ihre „Betriebstemperatur“, um wegzufliegen, zu einem Platz, der ihr gefällt.

As it hung like a pair of pants on the hanger I took it up again to find a better place. And in the warm hand its power came back and it reached its „operating temperature“ to fly away to find a place that it loved.
