Today I would like to start by introducing you to a few photos that were created with historical optics. The really impressive thing about photography with historical optics is that its imperfection conjures up incredibly beautiful bokehs compared to today’s optics.

This photo was made with a Russian night vision device, a Cyclop 1.5 / 85. I don’t know exactly how old my optic is, probably from the 1960s. It was created after a prolonged rain.

Incredibly beautiful and a gorgeous colour. 🙂
‚Old‘ equipment can still produce lovely photos. 🙂
Thank you so much, Scifi. I really know to appreciate your nice words 🙂
People want to develop everything to be perfect and modern lenses are perfect now. But many people love the imperfection of old lenses and optics. You can create individual photos. You have more chances to play with the light.
Yes – seems like it gives more character to a shot. 🙂
But it’s fun to play with all kinds of cameras too 😀
Yes, of course. It’s also fun to make photos without a cam 😊 scanography or just paper, motif and sun ☀️
Yes! A lot of fun! 😀
🙂
Out of this world gorgeous, Ulli. Wow!!!
Thank you, dear Amy. Glad to meet you here 🙂
Stay safe and healthy, Ulli
