In diesem Jahr – am 23. August – wurde Nordrhein-Westfalen 70 Jahre alt: 70 Jahre Demokratie! Zu diesem Anlass wurde der Funkturm in ganz besonderer Weise illuminiert: in den Farben von Nordrhein-Westfalen.

This year – the 23rd of August –  North Rhine-Westphalia has been 70 years old: 70 years of democracy! On this occasion, the radio tower was illuminated in a very special way: the colors of North Rhine-Westphalia.

I ♥ Wilhelmshaven

Heute möchte ich euch mal eine Stadt vorstellen, die im Laufe vieler Jahre meine zweite Heimat geworden ist.
Es gibt so viel über Wilhelmshaven zu erzählen, aber das haben andere schon getan. Deshalb: Schaut euch einfach mal nur die Fotos an und dann gibt’s am Ende noch Tipps.

Hamburg – eine Stadt zum Wohlfühlen!

Der Name der Stadt reflektiert eine große historische Vergangenheit und Bedeutung.

Die älteste urkundliche Erwähnung stammt aus dem 7. Jahrhundert. Im Jahr 1241 wurde Hamburg, zusammen mit Lübeck, einer der Gründerorte der Hanse. –

Heute ist Hamburg mit 1,7 Mio. Einwohnern die zweitgrößte Stadt Deutschlands und neuntgrößte der Europäischen Union.

Der Hamburger Hafen ist der größte Seehafen Deutschlands.

Alles zu beschreiben, was Hamburg bietet, würde einen Blog-Artikel sprengen. Deshalb hier nun ein paar Impressionen:

The name reflects Hamburg’s history and importance. The eldest documented mention comes from the 7. century.

Its trade allience with Lübeck in 1241 marks the origin and core of the powerful Hanseatic League of trading cities.-

The city is home of more than 1,7 million people and the second largest city of Germany, the ninth largest city of the European Union.

The port of Hamburg is the biggest of Germany, the second largest port of Europe and the tenth largest worldwide.

Hamburg is so much multifaceted. It’s impossible to describe everything in a blog article. So here are some impressions:
